Per #27. We once had a flower pot on East Avenue full of begonias and peat moss. At one point, it became particularly dry, right before someone put out a cigarette in it. Two days later, the slow simmering reached the temperature of the core of the sun, killed the begonias, and melted the pot.
All that to say that I hope Irish peat fires smell better than the molten plastic and scorched rat droppings that we’ve experienced.
wow. it sounds like they’d almost have to smell better!
